Camp Waingaro is a fantastic facility which had extensive upgrading in 2016/17 with further improvements ongoing. The facility boasts a large hall, commercial kitchen with gas hobs and ovens, a large deck to relax on in an evening, toilet and shower blocks, and a large dormitory building with bunk beds sleeping 36 people. In addition there are further limited bunk rooms off the main hall.
There are large grass areas that can be used for camping, a stream that runs around the edge of the main site, established bush areas for bushcraft, and regenerating bush areas following pine trees being cleared in 2016.
Set just off Waingaro Road approx 18kms from Ngaruawahia.

A small bunk room is located off the main hall plus a refurbished dormitory block are available which together sleep a total of 40 people.
